Time sure does fly. I know that's so incredibly cliche, but it's true! I can remember being dropped off at the airport back in September like it was yesterday. I was excited and nervous for what was to come, but my experiences have exceeded every expectation that I had. Before I get into a ton of mushy stuff, let me catch you up on what's been going on the past few weeks. We had a long weekend off from school at the end of April, so my roomate and I decided to spend some time in Mallorca. For those of you who don't know where that is, it is an island off of Spain right near Ibiza and Menorca. It was a long day of traveling to get there because we started at 8 pm. and had an 8 hour layover during the night in Barcelona. We arrived on the island at 7 a.m. and made our way to where we would be staying. While there for the week, it managed to rain 4 entire days. We still found ways to have fun and it ended up being such a relaxing trip. When we got back from our beach trip, it was Tuesday and I was looking forward to hanging in Granada for the last couple of weeks. My friend Kasia, who I was in London with, flew into Granada to spend a couple days with me the following weekend. Unfortunately for us, it rained the entire time she was here. Five straight days! We managed to get a decent amount of sightseeing done in the short brakes of the rain. One great thing about the weather was that there were some pretty incredible clouds that were perfect for picture taking. On the last day together we walked through the Albaicin which is the old muslim neighborhood that dates back to before the Christians took over in the 15th century. As you can see, I couldn't get enough of the view of the Alhambra. In the time I have spent traveling these past 9 months, nothing has come close to beating that view. It always manages to take my breath away and I feel so incredibly thankful for being able to live in such a wonderful city. I head home in 5 days which is a crazy feeling, but I've had so many crazy adventures and have met the most amazing people. If you ever have the opportunity to study or live abroad, I suggest wholeheartedly that you take it.
